THE BEGINNING ❤️Our story began when we met each other online. After several days of talking, we decided to do a video just to make sure that neither one of us was a catfish. Brian asked me to watch a movie together via Zoom. A year later, he confessed that he wasn't actually watching the movie; he was just looking at me! :)

BUTTERFLIES EVERYWHERE 🦋 I had to go on a solo work trip to Sharjah and Dubai, UAE. It was my first time traveling alone, and I was quite nervous. Brian knew this and made sure to send me plenty of messages and voice notes to keep me company while I was on the plane. As soon as I landed and got signal, my phone was flooded with his messages. This was the first time I truly felt that he cared about me, and maybe even more than just cared – I felt special and loved. 😊

THIS IS IT! ✈️ I remember the day we finally met in person at Toronto Pearson Airport. We had arranged to meet there, but I was hesitant because I didn't feel I looked my best after the 21-hour flight from Manila to Toronto. Despite my worries, he insisted, and we were both nervous. He told me he'd be wearing a gray dress shirt and standing at the departure gate. When I arrived, I spotted someone matching his description, but he was much taller than I expected—about 6'5". I thought to myself, "That's too tall for me!" Just then, someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around and saw Brian smiling and holding a panda stuffed toy. Thank goodness he wasn't the super tall guy! He then asked if I wanted an iced capp, and I think that was the beginning of my iced capp addiction!

From that day on, we were inseparable. We went on spontaneous dates, strolled around downtown Toronto, and had midnight McDonald's runs. As we spent more time together, we learned more about each other, and the more I discovered, the deeper I fell in love.

The Proposal 💍 It was the morning of my birthday, and Brian was about to leave for work. He hugged me, wished me a happy birthday, and then suddenly dropped to one knee. My initial reaction was to laugh and ask, "Are you joking?" But he continued with a heartfelt speech, saying he was ready to move to the next chapter of our lives and that he wanted to spend forever with me. Despite my laughter, memories of our time together flooded my mind. In that moment, I realized just how ready I was and that I couldn't imagine spending my life with anyone but him. Then he opened his hand to reveal a ring and asked, "Will you marry me?" It was the easiest yes I've ever said.
